Andrea

I’m an artist and educator, drawn to the hands-on process of making and the exploration of materials, techniques, and unexpected possibilities. Inspired by art history, travel, and the beauty of the world God has created, my work is rooted in curiosity, craftsmanship, and surprise. I believe creativity is a gift from God, and that making can be an act of attentiveness. The constant challenge is to slow down, notice beauty, and listen for his still small voice.

Teaching is another form of making for me. In university studios and classrooms, and on site in Italy, I love helping students look closely, ask questions, make connections, and experience art beyond the textbook. My hope is to help the next generation become thoughtful ambassadors for both Christ and the arts, carrying a love of beauty, creativity, and truth into the world.

“... and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze,  in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, to work in every craft.”

“Art is the ability to make something beautiful (as well as useful), just as God made the world beautiful and said, ‘It is good.’”
